Grand Central Station Market in New York City
Grand Central Station Market is located at the Grand Central Train Station in New York City. These spices are at only one of the booths among so many wonderful ones. It's a great place for food lovers and a no miss for anyone visiting the Big Apple. If I lived there, I would peruse through the aisles on a regular basis. The butcher shops, fresh vegetables, cheese and spices are just awesome and the French saucisson sec is to die for!

Chicago airport
I make my way through the Chicago airport as I see others like me everywhere rushing along from gate to gate. The winter snow storm has people stranded in airports all over the northern United States.

The East Coast and Midwest snow storm
As a blanket of snow covers our Winter Wonderland, a peaceful and serene stillness lays adrift our otherwise busy human eyes.

Image of full moon July 23, 2013
This July 2013 Thunder or Buck Super Moon as it is called was in Aquarius. It was 12% larger and 26% brighter than a normal Full Moon and the last one we'll see this big until next August 2014. I took this picture with a 500 mm lens set up on a tripod. The bright light dominated the desert sky and it was so beautiful!

Horned Toad
Out in the West Texas desert live these interesting looking creatures called Horned Frogs. They don't bite and are very well liked by most people who live here because they eat bugs. They are spiky and have a protective mechanism where they inflate themselves to twice their original size to look bigger and more offensive. They are preyed upon by hawks, roadrunners, snakes, lizards, dogs, wolves and coyotes. Some also shoot blood from their eyes. This blood travels a distance of up to three feet and confuses would be predators. It also contains a chemical which is noxious to dogs, wolves and coyotes. So, although they don't bite, you might want to refrain from picking one up lest it tries to "confuse" you!6/04/2013

San Jose mission in San Antonio, TX
There is so much history right in the middle of Texas. This church is situated among the beautiful and scenic ruins of the San Jose y San Miguel de Aguayo mission in San Antonio. There are many missions there, but if you only had time to visit one of them, this would be it. The calm and peaceful grounds are surrounded by a wall and the whole place stretches out along San Antonio's mission trail. Also known as the Queen of missions, if you are in San Antonio and want to enjoy some of its history, don't miss this outstanding Spanish colonial mission.
